Vail Winter Activities

Snowmobile Tours

Are your legs tired from skiing?  Give them a rest with a day of snowmobiling.  Take a guided tour National Historic Site of Camp Hale.  Enjoy endless views of the majestic snow capped peaks of the Rocky Mountains.  If you are an adventure seeker, then this is the activity for you.

Cross Country (Nordic) Skiing

Take advantage of the miles of groomed terrain and trails that the Vail Nordic Center has to offer.  Bring your own skis or pick up a pair of rentals on your way out.  Never been cross country skiing before, no problem.  Let the Vail Nordic Center instructors give you a lesson and you will be skate skiing like the pros in no time.

Snowshoeing

All those great hiking trails in the summer make for great snowshoeing trails in the winter.  Just learning, or looking for something easier?  The Vail Nordic Center offers miles of groomed terrain for beginners or anyone just looking to enjoy a nice winter stroll through the woods.

Spa Services

While spa services are available year round, is there anything better than spending a day on the slopes and then winding down with a massage?  Or take the day and really pamper yourself with facials, manicures, pedicures, or even a new haircut.

Ice Skating

Here is an activity that the kids just love.  With completion of Solaris’s outdoor skating rink, Vail is home to two outdoor rinks, Solaris in Vail Village and the rink at The Arrabelle in Lionshead.
